The CCU is a 17-bed cardiac critical care unit serving adult patients with life-threatening cardiac dysfunction, with invasive monitoring capabilities. Provides continuous EKG monitoring, emergency measures, and manages devices like Impella, IABP, and renal therapies. Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, and documents care according to regulations. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions. Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment. Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to develop care plans. Directs ancillary personnel and maintains professional nursing standards.
