The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).Position SummaryThe role involves participating in the recruiting and consenting patients and parents for medical device research studies and participating in data collection. You will work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, including the operating room. Ideal for someone interested in health, obstetrics, or neonatology, and comfortable speaking with families in clinical settings.The Smart Hospital Project, located at the Montreal Children's Hospital, seeks to revolutionize neonatal care through the power of innovative wireless technology, cutting-edge "smart dashboards," and advanced machine learning tools, all while maintaining a family-centered approach.General Duties Assistance with participant recruitment and consenting, Participant follow-up (phone & email) Data collection (i.e., sensor placement on neonates, live annotations using tablets, etc.).Website of the organizationhttps://rimuhc.ca/enEducation / ExperienceEducation: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)Field of Study: Health/Science (asset but not required)Other Education Considered An Asset For This PositionWork Experience: Years of experience required for the position. 0-6 months with customers/participants (asset but not required)Required Skills Excellent French and English, spoken and written, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision, Must be comfortable in an operating room, and an intensive care unit. Must be confident in speaking to families in difficult and emotionally charged moments of their lives.
