Cloud Consultant - GCP Duties and Responsibilities • 10-12 years of overall Cloud administration & DevOps experience with a minimum of 5 years on Google Cloud Platform(GCP). Good Knowledge and hands-on experience of Kubernetes, Scripting, Docker, Jenkins, CI/CD.• Experience in handling (Primarily on GCP) cloud environment IaaS, PaaS, and OS related issues.• Understanding GCP key components like Compute Instance/GKE Nodes, Storage Bucket, IAM, Load balancers etc.• Good working and hands-on knowledge of GCP IAAS, VPC Network, Subnets, Firewalls, and routes. Soundunderstanding of networking knowledge on DNA and Firewall security.• Managing Network in cloud including VPN, Virtual Network, Network peering, Network Security Group• Manage security group, Load Balancer, Auto scaling and provide best resilient & scalable environment.• Manage user, group, policy, roles in IAM.• Add and manage server/s and application, resource pool, etc.• Optimize cost of cloud by selecting best resource to fulfil the requirement.• End to end Monitoring, Value addition and maintenance.• Logging and Diagnostics: - Fetch Cloud Operations activity and diagnostic logs, metrics when needed.• Configure and manage Database read replicas, automated backup, point in time recovery and security of database inmanaged service of GCP and Azure.• Configure monitoring matrix, alarm, and logs to properly monitor every aspect of applications!• Experience in configuration of DR on cloud.• Cloud Resource Assessment and Migration: - Perform Assessment / Migration of in premises VM to cloud, and cloud tocloud migration.• Working knowledge of cloud migration tools like M4C etc.• Generating the health metrics and setting up the health alerts (email, page, SMS, stack driver etc.)• Create and Manage the Automation in GCP.Preferred Certification • GCP Certification - Professional Cloud ArchitectGeneric Roles and Responsibilities • Follow ITIL standard practices for incidents, change and problem management.• Able to identify problems, perform thorough root cause analysis.• Engage the Cloud Vendor and escalate the support issues with escalation matrix.• Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)• Provide methodological assistance to client / peers.• Follow timely delegation / escalation procedure.• Excellent organizational, time-management and prioritization skills• Willing to work in CST timings (India time night shifts) and 24x7 on-call support.If you are interested kindly share your resume to nethmi.dulanji@hcltech.com
