Cloud Engineer

About the Role: This role contributes to the designing, implementing, and managing of cloud-based infrastructure for data warehousing. This includes implementation, integration and efficient processing of large-scale retail data, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the security and compliance of data storage and retrieval processes. A key part of this role will be to monitor and manage cloud resource usage to optimize costs, while staying abreast of the latest cloud technologies and trends to continuously improve data warehousing solutions.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure tailored for data warehousing. This includes setting up and maintaining cloud storage, compute resources, and network configurations to ensure system reliability.Develop and maintain scalable and efficient data warehousing solutions to support large-scale data analytics. Ensure that data is accurately and efficiently processed, stored, and retrieved.Implement and oversee Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes. Integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse, ensuring consistency and accuracy.Monitor system performance and make adjustments to cloud configurations and data warehousing processes to optimize for speed and efficiency ensuring performance Optimization.Ensure that all cloud and data warehousing operations comply with industry standards and organizational policies related to data security and privacy to sustain security and compliance standards.Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage to manage data warehousing costs effectively.Provide technical support to other teams and departments. Train staff on new cloud technologies and data warehousing practices.Stay updated with the latest trends in cloud computing and data warehousing. Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can improve performance and efficiency through Innovation and Research.Employee duties are not limited only to the above-mentioned accountabilities; he/she may perform other duties as assigned.
