You will play a critical role in building Planet’s next generation Cloud infrastructure.You will collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.Your work will directly support Planet's mission by creating self-service environments for internal stakeholders, empowering them to efficiently utilize our cloud resources and accelerate their contributions to understanding our changing planet.This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work in our Ljubljana Slovenia office 3 days per week.Impact You’ll OwnDesign, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code on GCP and AWSAutomate operational tasks and improve system reliability through scriptingAdminister and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)Implement and manage networking solutions within cloud environments to ensure secure and efficient data flowContribute to the continuous improvement of our cloud platforms, aligning with Planet's values of openness and a commitment to understanding the EarthWhat You Bring4+ years of relevant experienceBachelors’ degree in Computer Science or similar Proficient experience with cloud platforms (GCP and AWS)Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, Golang)Experience administering and troubleshooting Linux systemsExperience working with Containers, Podman/Docker/KubernetesExperience with networking conceptsWhat Makes You Stand OutExperience with implementing monitoring and logging tools in a cloud environmentFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelinesExperience with database technologiesApplication Deadline: January 20th, 2026, 11:59pm PSTExport Control RequirementsPlanet Labs Germany GmbH is authorized to receive U.S. export-controlled information at Planet under an export license issued by the Bureau of Industry and Security.
