Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.This purposeful project will not only give you the opportunity to have an impact on one of the key topics within the European Union, it will also offer you various professional opportunities, let you experience a collaborative environment, using cutting-edge technologies and experiencing diversity in your everyday professional life.What You'll Be DoingOverseeing the planning, implementation, and management of the cloud infrastructureEnsuring that the cloud-based systems are stable, secure, and operating efficientlyLeading a team of IT professionals, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.Overseeing the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and securityManaging and mentoring a team of cloud engineers and IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environmentImplementing and enforcing security policies and procedures to protect cloud infrastructure and data, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standardsMonitoring cloud infrastructure performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing solutions to optimize performance and reliabilityManaging relationships with cloud service providers and vendors, ensuring services are delivered according to contractual agreementsDeveloping and maintaining disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or data lossCreating and managing budgets for cloud infrastructure projects, recommending cost-saving measures where appropriateStaying up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance infrastructure and securityWhat You'll Bring Along Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldMinimum 5-10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a strong focus on designing and managing cloud-based systemsRelevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud ArchitectProven experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google CloudExtensive experience in network security, virtualization, and data managementDeep understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and software-as-a-service (SaaS) modelsStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of IT professionalsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issuesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levelsProficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in one or more major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudStrong understanding of cloud architecture principles, microservices, and containerizationIn-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, encryption methods, and identity managementExperience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python) for Infrastructure as CodeUnderstanding of cloud networking concepts, virtual private clouds, and network securityFamiliarity with DevSecOps methodologies and tools for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and collaborationIdeally IT Infrastructure and ITIL know-howExcellent command of both spoken and written English
