Cloud Platform Engineer

PayPay is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer for PayPay's Cloud Based payment system. This role will be responsible for the engineering of Cloud Infrastructure Platforms to provide robust, reliable and cost-efficient Platform so that we can deliver the best experience for our growing customers base.Primary ResponsibilitiesArchitect and build a robust, scalable and stable infrastructureArchitect and build Infrastructure that is easily maintainable during patching and upgrades without downtimeArchitect and build Infrastructure with AWS regional level failure toleranceWork together with our Security Engineers to provision a secure InfrastructureAutomations for AWS Deployments to ensure fast delivery of Cloud Services to our developersProvide through Automations means for developers to easily deploy resources on AWSTech Stack| AWS:VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, Cloudfront, MWAA, RDS, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, Opensearch, S3, CloudWatch, Cognito, SQS, KMS, Secret Manager, KMS, MSK, CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CloudFormation and other services| Terraform, Github Actions, Prometheus, Grafana, Atlantis, ArgoCD, OpenTelemetryQualificationsMore than 8 years of technical experience in cloud-based infrastructure platformsExtensive technical hands-on experience with computing, storage, and analytical services on AWSDemonstrated skill in programming and scripting languages, including Python, Shell Scripting, Go, and RustExperience with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools in AWS, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDKProficient in Linux internals and system administrationExperience in production level infrastructure change management and releases for high traffic & business-critical systemsExperience in Cloud infrastructure and platform systems availability, performance and cost managementStrong understanding of cloud security best practices and payment industry compliance standardsAbility to demonstrate a high degree of ownership in a production environment, including incident management and cross-team collaborationExperience with cloud services monitoring, detection, and response, as well as performance tuning and cost controlFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure service patching and upgradesGood understanding and experience with network especially on cloud platformsExperience in AI/ML infrastructure design and operationsExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency in either English or JapanesePreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree and above in a technology related fieldExperience with other cloud service providers (e.g GCP, Azure)Experience with KubernetesExperience with Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka preferred)Experience using and contributing to Open Source toolsExperience in managing IT compliance and security riskPublished papers / blogs / articlesRelevant and verifiable certificationsBilingual in English and Japanese is nice to have, but not requiredJLPT Level 3 or above
