Cloud Product Owner

Who We AreBy joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.This purposeful project will not only give you the opportunity to have an impact on one of the key topics within the European Union, it will also offer you various professional opportunities, let you experience a collaborative environment, using cutting-edge technologies and experiencing diversity in your everyday professional life.What You'll Be DoingDeveloping and communicating a clear vision and strategy for cloud products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.Creating and maintaining a product roadmap that defines the development and release of cloud features and services.Managing the product backlog, writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and prioritizing tasks for development teams.Collaborating with stakeholders, including business users, developers, and IT teams, to gather requirements and provide updates.Participating in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring effective team collaboration.Monitoring the performance and usage of cloud products, using metrics and feedback for continuous improvement.Ensuring security and compliance with standards and regulatory requirements for cloud environments.Developing cost optimization strategies, selecting appropriate pricing models, and recommending efficient solutions.Focusing on user experience, gathering feedback, and enhancing product usability and satisfaction.What You'll Bring AlongBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred).Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.Proficiency in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).Strong understanding of product management principles, including roadmap development and backlog management.Familiarity with cloud architecture, microservices, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, data protection, and regulatory compliance.Strong analytical skills for performance monitoring and data-driven decision-making.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with stakeholders across diverse teams.Strong problem-solving abilities to address technical and business challenges.Customer-focused mindset, understanding and meeting user and stakeholder needs.Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar certifications (preferred).Excellent command of both spoken and written English (any other European language would be a plus).
