Our engineers are vital to the innovation and digitalization of BMW Group's driving machines, production, sales and banking processes, and you could be part of our evolving teams.What Awaits YouManages and coordinates teams consisting of over 100 employees, ensuring smooth operations and effective performance Reports operational activities to the COO Reports administrative activities to the CEO Facilitates communication with team managers, ensures effective staff management for unit heads, and oversees all units within the cluster Agrees on performance and development objectives with the subordinate team, guides and supervises them in achieving these goals Consults with the human resources department in managing difficult situations within the subordinate team (e.g., performance issues, integration difficulties) Identifies the professional development needs of the subordinate team and requests support from specialized departments to find opportunities that address these needs Approves leave requests, time-off slips, home office requests, and timesheets for all subordinate employees Optimizes resource allocation within the cluster to ensure optimal performance Plans resources to anticipate future requirements Plans resources to anticipate future requirements and maintains constant interaction with the recruiter to validate and allocate people to projects based on hiring needs Conducts risk analysis and develops response strategies to manage them What Should You Bring AlongUniversity Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field At least 5 years of experience in a similar role is required Proven background in Java software development, with solid expertise in modern enterprise technologies and architectures, including Spring-based frameworks, RESTful services and microservicesStrong leadership and team management abilities Proven experience in resource allocation and performance optimization Ability to develop and implement effective strategies for team development Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in risk analysis Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations and maintain team motivation Experience in working with HR departments and addressing employee-related challenges Excellent English verbal and written skills German communication skills will be a plus What do we offer?Challenging projects with which we are shaping the mobility of tomorrowGreat team spirit within an international teamState-of-the-art global IT landscape and processes100% implementation of the Agile Working Model methodologyWide range of personal & professional development opportunitiesHigh level of job securityWork-Life-Balance and flexible working hoursAttractive and performance-related remunerationDynamic and highly-motivating work environmentAt BMW TechWorks Romania, we view diversity and inclusion in all its forms as a cornerstone of our team's strength.
