Junior Financial Controller

Our ClientA prestigious international player in the retail sector, with a widespread presence both online and in over 1,850 stores across Europe. With an annual turnover of 4. 1 billion and a team of approximately 18,000 employees, the company stands out for its wide product range, combining exclusive and premium brands with its own private label. With around 40 stores across Croatia and Slovenia, the company is continuing its expansion and organizational development. The role is based in the company's commercial branch in Zagreb, located just 10/15 minutes from the city center in a lively area known for its retail and shopping hubs.

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the Finance Team, reporting directly to the CFO. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in financial reporting, analysis, and planning across our multi-market operations, working with complex ERP systems and supporting the company's continued regional expansion. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Control: Oversee and control financial operations across Croatia and Slovenia marketsFinancial Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive P&L statements and balance sheets for multi-market operationsForecasting & Budgeting: Lead financial forecasting and budget planning processes to support strategic decision-makingProcess Oversight: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controlsMulti-System Management:

Oversee financial reporting using two different ERP systems across Croatia and Slovenia marketsFinancial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance and provide insights to senior managementProcess Implementation: Support the development and implementation of accounting processes and proceduresCross-Market Coordination: Manage financial reporting requirements across multiple markets, with future expansion to Serbia within two yearsCFO Support: Provide direct analytical and reporting support to the Chief Financial OfficerSpreadsheet Management: Maintain and enhance existing financial reporting templates and modelsRequired QualificationsEducation: Degree in Economics or related fieldExperience: 3-5 years of relevant finance experience (audit in Big 4 or retail end-client companies)Technical Expertise:
