CNC Machinist

Duties & Responsibilities:Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders Setup, adjust and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operationsFabricate (if required) holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments for mounting parts/ materials onto machinesMonitor the feed and speed of machines during the machine processSelect the appropriate cutting tools and materials required for carrying out the specified machining.Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairsCheck work pieces to ensure that they are properly lubricated and cooledOperate equipment to verify operational efficiency and submit recommendations for improvementSet controls to regulate machining or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control dataEstablish work procedures for fabricating new structural products using a variety of metalworking machinesDeburring parts as required.Education Required / Minimum Experienced Required : High School, Associate, Diploma or equivalent.5 years of experience in aerospace repair environmentExperience editing programs, calculating feeds & speeds on high speed machineExperience in high precision boring.Experience using/reading mechanical measuring tools.Proven excellent attendance recordMust be able to follow operating maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and safety rules.Should possess mechanical aptitude and math skills.Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
