Job Description

The CNC Programmer role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and precision machining. Candidates should have experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards along with the ability to interpret manufacturing drawings.Programmer responsibilities include (but not limited to):Create and modify programs for major rotating aerospace parts.Read and interpret layouts, job instructions, engine manuals, technical orders, and blue prints for parts in the manufacturing process.Optimize machine run-times to ensure daily goals and production targets are met.Understand tooling specifications and requirements; including fixtures / attachments for CNC Equipment.Touch-off tools and make offsets. Troubleshoot effectively and efficiently with minimal guidance from Team Lead (to prevent machine downtime).Interact with customers, and strive to attain high customer satisfaction levels.Experience with Fanuc and Siemens 840 software Controls; and VericutFamiliarity with NC Programming software, 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.Knowledge of work holding methods.Experience working on gas turbine engine parts.Demonstrate a high level of customer focus. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Deliver superior results - exceeding customer expectations.Exemplify a high degree of self-confidence, and motivation.U.S. Citizen, Security verification is mandatory requirement for employment at Cyient.Associate of Science (AS) degree in Engineering with 2+ years’ experience - or - appropriate coursework / education / training in the manufacturing field.
