The role involves working on the development and maintenance of core applications within the Retail Banking domain, contributing to both functional and technical aspects of several ongoing projects. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, and testing teams to ensure the reliability and performance of mission-critical systems.This position requires on-site presence 1 day per week (Bucharest office). Responsibilities:Analyze and understand detailed functional specifications.Translate business requirements into clear and accurate technical specifications.Estimate workload and plan development and unit testing activities accordingly.Develop, configure, and document software components following defined standards.Ensure compliance with architectural, security, and quality guidelines.Define and execute unit and performance tests (BDDs).Monitor and troubleshoot incidents as part of Level 3 support.Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date technical documentation (JIRA, Wikis, project files).Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for application quality and performance.Requirements:Proven experience as a Cobol Developer in the banking or financial services sector.Proficiency with Cobol, CICS, DB2, and CTRL-M.Strong understanding of mainframe environments and JCL.Ability to work across the full development lifecycle — from analysis to maintenance.Good understanding of technical specifications and performance testing.Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.Fluency in French (mandatory).Mid to senior level professional experience.🚀 Do you recognize yourself in the "Who" and represent the "What"?
