Job DescriptionFire Protection Engineer, Coffman Engineers, Inc. , Tamuning, GU: Responsible for designing projects that will safeguard life and property against fire and related hazards. Duties and responsibilities of the position include: Assist in planning, designing, and directing fire protection engineering projects. Design and specify basic systems. Perform consulting services for internal clients, utilizing Fire Protection engineering technical skills, including but not limited to:
automatic suppression system designfire detection, alarm, and communication system designgeneral fire protection and life safety concepts and researchQualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: A bachelor’s degree (U. S. or foreign degree equivalent) in fire protection engineering, mechanical engineering, or related engineering field of studyExperience: Two years of experience in a fire prevention drafting and design occupationSKILLS/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience must include the following: Two years of experience working with AutoCAD.
Two years of experience working with Revit and BluebeamTwo years of experience performing building and fire code analysis, and code interpretationsTwo years of experience in the analysis of existing fire protection systemsTwo years of experience designing new fire protection systems, including suppression systems, fire detection, fire alarm, and mass notification systemsExperience may be gained concurrently. Basic pay is eighty-eight thousand seven hundred thirty-three dollars annually for full-time employment and standard company benefits.
