Job Description: The Business Analyst - IT (Advanced) will play a pivotal role in the Digital BA Team, driving the delivery of critical technology initiatives within a dynamic, project-based Agile environment. This role involves leading detailed requirement-gathering phases, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring successful project outcomes that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business and systems analysis, a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, and proficiency in key tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Visio.

With a focus on delivering high-quality documentation, fostering stakeholder relationships, and resolving complex issues, this role is integral to the success of medium to large-scale projects (valued over $2 million) within the financial services sector. Department Overview: The Digital BA Team within the PCB department is a collaborative, fast-paced group dedicated to delivering innovative digital solutions. The team operates in a hybrid work environment, fostering a culture of agility, continuous improvement, and stakeholder engagement. The team works closely with both business and IT stakeholders to drive enterprise-level and mobile projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

Daily ResponsibilitiesA typical day in the life of the Business Analyst - IT (Advanced) includes: Leading Requirement Phases: Spearhead detailed requirement-gathering sessions, identifying, tracking, escalating, and resolving business systems issues to ensure alignment with project objectives. Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate workshops and sessions with business units (15-20+ stakeholders) to assess, research, analyze, and document sponsor/stakeholder needs in accordance with the Project Life Cycle. Process Mapping: Create or lead the development of detailed process maps to support requirements gathering, gap analysis, and training initiatives. Project Documentation:

Manage comprehensive project documentation, including implementation plans, issues logs, process maps, reports, and FTE analysis, while proactively resolving emerging issues during implementation. Risk Management: Contribute to successful project completion within budget and timeline constraints by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies. Training and Support: Develop strategic training plans for the introduction of new or enhanced business processes and provide assistance with business user testing when required. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners, internal/external team members, and stakeholders, providing consulting services on new initiatives. Issue Resolution:

Identify issues and manage/escalate resolutions as needed to ensure project progress and stakeholder satisfaction. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside the Digital BA Team, IT stakeholders, and business units to ensure seamless integration and delivery of project objectives. Project Details: The role supports the Digital BA Team, focusing on delivering enterprise-level digital initiatives and mobile projects. Projects involve system integrations, API-driven solutions, and business process enhancements, often requiring collaboration with technical teams to ensure robust, scalable outcomes. The role will involve working on medium to large projects (valued over $2 million) with a focus on delivering measurable business value.

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of professional Business Analyst (BA) or Business Systems Analyst (BSA) experience in a project-based Agile environment. Agile Expertise: Proven experience in Agile methodology, with a track record of successfully leading Agile projects and facilitating ceremonies (e. g. , sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives). Requirements Gathering: Expert-level ability to gather business and systems requirements independently, with strong business analysis and systems analysis skills. System Integration: Solid understanding of system integration concepts and APIs, with experience analyzing payloads (JSON/XML) and mapping data elements to requirements. Documentation and Modeling:

Proven expertise in requirements analysis and quality documentation, including Scope Modelling, Business Process Modelling, Data Requirements, Business Rules Analysis, Non-Functional Requirements, User Stories, Story Decomposition, Story Mapping, and Acceptance/Evaluation Criteria Definition. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience facilitating large stakeholder groups (15-20+ participants) and presenting to senior leadership. Collaboration and Multitasking: Strong collaboration skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform gap analysis while managing multiple projects concurrently. Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of requirements documentation and modeling tools, including:

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, VisioJira and Confluence (for project tracking, reporting, and documentation)Mural and Figma (for collaborative design and visualization)Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Engineering, Math, or Sciences. Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications: Certifications: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Master’s Certificate in Business Analysis. Project Experience: Prior experience in enterprise-level and mobile projects. API Testing: Past testing experience with APIs using tools like Postman. Accessibility Standards: Knowledge of current accessibility standards (e. g. , WCAG). Financial Services Experience: Background in financial services or familiarity with financial processes is an asset. IT Experience:

Prior experience in the Information Technology field is desirable. Soft Skills: Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn organizational structure, business strategies, and processes. Leadership: Proven ability to lead discussions on detailed requirement phases, identifying and resolving business systems issues. Documentation: Expertise in writing clear, well-structured business requirements documents. Conflict Resolution: Advanced ability to resolve minor conflicts/issues using various tactics before escalation. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges. Facilitation and Presentation: Advanced facilitation and presentation skills to engage diverse stakeholder groups effectively. Organization:

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent activities and work successfully under pressure. Language Requirements: English: Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
