As CMF Designer in the System and Material Innovation Team you will work at the intersection of Color Material Innovation and Product Design.Core ResponsibilitiesYou will have overall responsibility to explore, uncover and develop new Color and Material opportunities and Strategies for Innovation across the portfolio, as well as to provoke pioneering Material and Platform Innovation!Innovation and Strategy Drive innovative CMF strategies, identify emerging trends in color, material and finish design to ensure our products remain at the forefront of design excellence. Able to develop criteria and point of view on innovation opportunity areas and prioritization to bring a vision alive.Research and Insights Conduct research and insights, product design trends and new material technologies and translate them and develop new concepts, product ideas, and CMF strategies.Material Technology Development Collaborate with external vendors/suppliers, material scientists and engineers and explore and investigate in new Material technologies and developmentsConcept Presentation and Visualization Develop visualization, graphics, material samples and hand-crafted prototypes that will demonstrate CMF design concepts. Visualize CMF choices using 2D and 3D softwareCollaborative Innovation Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineers, Material Development, Designers and Specialists to bring concepts to life.Mentorship Provide Guidance and mentorship to junior Designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment. Share knowledge and expertise in CMF design to elevate the team’s capabilities. Ability to inspire and engage multidisciplinary teams in front end innovationPlay your part in our team succeedingYou will part of the System and Material Innovation Team and have broad interaction with partners on many different levels, for example all Design Teams, Design Leadership Team, Operations, Material Development and Specialists. We are looking for someone, who is a proactive and collaborative person and hybrid thinker, able to think flexible and strategically within your own design discipline as well as across other design disciplines who embraces innovation to uncover new ideas and possibilities.Do you have what it takes?A background in Industrial Design or Design fields that’s related to CMF work (Graphic, Textile, Architecture, Design Engineering)Extensive CMF design experience, defining trends, color material and finishes for mass manufacture and creating Design strategiesGood knowledge around hard and soft material (Plastics, Textile, Effects, Ink etc.)Experience with creative and innovative development processesStrong visualization skills, 2D/3D and able to communicate a strategy and Design direction to peersGreat visual, verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate new insights with internal and external partners across all levelsUnique portfolio that proves solid Design skills and forward thinkingTrend Awareness and Deep understanding of current and future trends in design, materials, and technologiesFluent in English (verbal and written)Nice to HavesBeing curious, proactive, and bridge multiple subject areasTaking initiative, recognizing and acting on opportunitiesAble to think creatively and challenge the status quoPlease share in English your CV, motivational letter, and portfolio.
