Commercial and Procurement Manager – 6 month contractIt is the ideal time to move to a large public sector organisation with a large, confirmed capital programme. This role sits at a senior level for a large and well-regarded public sector organisation. The Commercial Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the Procurement and Commercial team responsible for; procurement, negotiation, commercial advice and management of all contractual relationships associated with facilities construction, including the management of expenditure in accordance with contractual requirements.Responsibilities Of The Role IncludeEnsuring financial and reporting requirements are met in a timely way and providing the analytics and recommendations needed to manage or mitigate commercial related risks.Delivering maximum whole of life value, from commercial and procurement activities across facility projects and programmes.Planning, executing, and delivering procurement processes that meet client project outcomes across the strategic capital programmes and the wider FM group.Managing procurement and contractual administration, documentation and maintaining records, and mitigating contractual and procurement risk.Managing the contractual process from market engagement, negotiation and award; administering the contractual relationship, monitoring and reporting, variation management, escalation, dispute resolution and review.Developing, negotiating, and managing all aspects of contracts relating to facility and project construction from a commercial perspective.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have 10 years’ experience in Procurement and Commercial roles in the construction industry including at least 5 year’s contract or financial management experience covering large value construction programmes (greater than $100m). You will also have project management leadership experience, and expert knowledge of project drivers (commercial, contractual and financial). Public Sector experience would be very useful.You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work collaboratively as part of a high performing leadership team.
