Job DescriptionWe are seeking a high-impact, results-driven Commercial Contract Closure & Government Procurement Specialist to manage and grow our commercial and government contracting pipeline. This is a critical, revenue-driving role where success is measured by the ability to negotiate close deals aggressively, and ensure strict contract compliance on large-scale projects.If you are a specialist who understands construction law, government procurement, and how to close a deal where others simply submit a bid, we want to hear from you.Job HighlightsHourly Rate: The equivalent of $ 17.00 USD per hour in the applicant’s local currencySchedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST (Monday to Friday with 1 hour paid break included)Work Arrangement: Work from homeContract: Independent ContractorSide Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.ResponsibilitiesYou will be the central figure responsible for converting our commercial and government bids into signed, profitable contracts. Your focus is on closure, negotiation, and legal compliance. Government Procurement & Strategic Partnering (High-Value Focus)Procurement Mastery: Serve as the subject matter expert on all federal and state procurement processes, ensuring the company is compliant with all reporting and documentation standards.Partnership Generation: Actively identify and contact strategic partners for teaming agreements and joint ventures required to bid on successfully and close government agency contracts.Manage complex bid invitations specific to government projects. Contract Creation & Risk Mitigation (Mandatory Expertise)Contract Drafting: Be responsible for creating detailed and comprehensive construction contracts (subcontract agreements, change orders, scope addendums, etc.) that clearly define the companys scope and payment terms.Legal Review: Analyze client-provided contracts (especially institutional and government forms) to identify, mitigate, and negotiate away unfavorable clauses, indemnification requirements, and excessive payment holdbacks. Deal Negotiation and Aggressive ClosureClose the Deal: Aggressively engage with clients (GCs, PMs) immediately after bid submission to negotiate final terms and secure the contract award. This is a dedicated closing role, not an administrative one.Financial Optimization: Analyze project cost models to identify strategic areas where numbers can be tweaked or optimized through negotiation to meet client budgets while maintaining company profitability.Manage the aggressive follow-up process for all outstanding bids, overcoming objections, and driving contracts to final signature. Proactive Business DevelopmentActively leverage external bidding platforms not just for invites, but to identify key contacts (GCs, PMs).Initiate direct contact and networking to proactively solicit new bid invitations and build strategic relationships (e.g., targeting major projects like Tuscan Village or EverettRequirementsMandatory: Expert knowledge of construction contract law and proven ability to draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial construction contracts (Subcontractor Agreements, etc.).Mandatory: Demonstrated expertise in Government Procurement, including understanding of FAR/DFARS or relevant state-level regulations.Proven track record in closing high-value commercial construction deals (direct experience in closing is non-negotiable).High financial and analytical acumen to assess project viability and manage bid profitability during negotiation.Strong understanding of commercial construction, project lifecycles, and estimating processes.Independent Contractor PerksHMO Coverage for eligible locationsPermanent work from homeImmediate hiringSteady freelance jobReminderApply directly to the link provided; you will be redirected to BruntWork’s Career Site.
