The Commercial Executive is the face of Tropic in the field. If you’d like to flex your negotiation skills on behalf of our customers and get a seat on a rocket ship with lots of mobility opportunities, this is the role for you. As a Commercial Executive you will be responsible for more complex and higher dollar value negotiation, as well as meeting savings targets and providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, this person will be a resource for other teammates. The ideal candidate is a top-performer hungry for a fast pace and a new challenge.What You'll DoClose deals on behalf of our clients to secure the tools they need at the best priceNegotiate strategic enterprise agreements directly with software vendors to maximize savings for our clientsWork collaboratively with client leadership teams to align on their requirementsBe an expert on a variety of software contract structures leveraging internal and external dataAdvise and consult customers on their negotiation and sourcing strategyMaintain operational excellence to thoroughly update our Clients on your progress to ensure high customer satisfactionConsistently refresh your negotiation abilities through self-guided and internal trainingsFoster trust in both our Clients and the Suppliers you interface with to ensure that the Tropic brand is held in a positive light throughout the industryParticipate in Tropic team-building activities and find ways to integrate your personality into our cultureGet deals done!What You’ve DoneExperience with one or more of the following: software procurement, enterprise account management, procurement management, or category management at a SaaS CompanyTop-performing mid-market SaaS account managers or account executives, procurement specialists/managers.At least one year of experience negotiating software contractsStrong communication skills and high emotional intelligenceResults-focused orientationVerifiable track record of high performanceDesire to own and execute on projects with autonomyExpert project managerSomeone who’s excited about building somethingGrowth mindsetCompensationSpecific to pay transparency laws, the minimum OTE for this position is $87,500 inclusive of commission. This will also include incentive stock options and benefits. The final job level and compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business considerations.
