The teams are respected business partners to their customers inside and outside of the function and work to shape the future of the customer and overall Channel.About The RoleThe purpose of the Commercial Finance Business Partner is to partner with all key business customers including commercial teams (Sales, RGM & Marketing) to drive business performance. You will provide the focus and precision to ensure the market is on the right track to deliver the targets, act as a leader during volatile and uncertain times and help to unlock growth potential and ideas. You will support and challenge the delivery of our financial and commercial targets by working closely with the commercial leaders and Key Account Managers.Our Commercial Finance BP role is unique as you can fully focus on the delivery of the strategy and drive performance holistically with the full on-site Greece team.This role looks after the Off Trade and the On Trade channels, with focus on performance management through the monthly and annual cycles, retail and wholesalers negotiations, and driving transparency on investments in the full value chain in ONT from wholesalers to HORECA outlets, where we invest material part of our trade budgetThe role requires strong communication and influencing skills, as well as the ability to easily zoom out & zoom in between the bigger picture, external environment and internal details. We also have a large drive to simplify and systemize the processes and this role will be critical in delivering ground-breaking projects to improve the way of working.FunctionalTop AccountabilitiesDeliver robust business performance management: identify the drivers of historic and future P&L performance by brand and customer with focus on Volume, Mix, Price, Gross Profit, marketing investments that drives insight through the BPM process.Actively participate in helping the commercial teams to understand performance through Demand Planning and Customer Performance reviews.Lead the set up and preparation of the monthly performance cycle (weekly O&Rs, Pre-Demand Reviews, Market Demand reviews). Work closely with market and HoF on AOP annual cycle.Identify all critical business opportunities, risks and initiatives and provide financial analysis and insights to support decision making. You can carry out robust financial analyses to drive decisions.You facilitate the Annual Negotiations process in close collaboration with our Revenue & Growth Management team.You have a good understanding on how Trade Investment works, knows how to influence the customer’s and brand’s profitability (Value Chains).Understanding of cashflow, ability to influence and optimize working capital.Maintain a robust governance and control environment.You Will Drive Great Decision Making With Your Business Partner And Support The Business In Setting And Realising Its Performance Ambition With a Particular Emphasis On The Dynamic Value Creator Area Of The Diageo Finance MissionBring data-led insights – crafting winning strategies and provoking phenomenal business outcomesEmbrace a winning attitude– having the courage to actLook outwards – always adopting an external lensLead and embrace change – bringing value and crafting our futureActive risk managers – guiding thoughtful business decisionAbout YouUniversity level degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Finance or Business.Minimum 5 years Finance and Commercial Finance experience.Highly analytical and numerate.
