Commercial Finance Manger

Role: Commercial Finance Manager/FP&A ManagerRole Overview:We are looking for someone who is recently qualified and ready to step into their first Manager position. The Commercial Finance Manager will support and partner with the business to ensure we have the financial insight needed to drive the significant growth anticipated by the Board over the coming years. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional to work closely with the FD, helping to define, develop, and deliver greater visibility of the business’s key growth drivers.Main Responsibilities: Develop the financial plan to support the evolving business strategy for category and international growthDevelop and deliver the annual budget process ensuring the bottoms up budget is managed to meet the top down expectationsDevelop and deliver a quarterly reforecasting process, partnering with the business to ensure that levers are managed to ensure action taken to enable adherence to budget expectationsDetermining funding requirements for the business based on the financial plansWork with the FD to define, develop and deliver the weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI reporting required by the Board, Senior and Operational Management TeamsWork with the FD to define Gross Margin and ensure that the margin of the business is tracked from initial merchaindising to orderbook margin through to sell-out margin, ensuring all elements of cost of sales are identified, understood and actively managedDevelop Sales and Margin reporting to ensure opportunities are identified and actioned to maximise the margin within the business, including impact of mark-downs and wholesale agreementsEnhance and deliver channel reporting to understand the profitability of each element of the business, ensuring levers are flexed to maximise profitabilityDevelop inventory reporting to ensure the inventory risk within the business is understood and managedProvide partnership to the business to ensure that each element of the business is understood and actively managed and communicatedAd hoc reporting to support the Senior Management team deliver their goalsEssential Skills & Requirements: Qualified Accountant CIMA, ACCA or ACAExperience in working in SME businessAbility to drive changeLearn new systemsProven business partner skills, capable of building relationships with non-finance peoplePersonal Attributes:Natural commercial thinker and problem solverStrong eye for detail and ability to identify errorsGreat communication skills able to influence audiences of varying financial and commercial backgroundsStrong excel skills with an aptitude for turning a high volume of data into analysis and insightAbility to work in a fast paced, commercially focused environment and able to adapt to change quickly
