We are partnered with an established clean energy infrastructure provider with over fifteen years of experience developing, financing, owning, and operating solar and battery storage projects across diverse markets, including community solar, commercial & industrial, and utility-scale.The business's distributed energy resources division specializes in end-to-end energy transition services for large enterprises, integrating microgrid infrastructure that aligns with regulatory and capital market trends. The growing platform focuses on projects serving commercial and industrial clients, data centers, EV charging infrastructure, and behind-the-meter battery storage applications.Our client is seeking a hands-on strategic and entrepreneurial Commercial Lead to help drive its next phase of growth.The OpportunityAs Commercial & Sales Lead, you’ll take full ownership of customer origination, sales pipeline growth, and revenue delivery. You’ll lead a small, high-performing team, leveraging your network and deep market expertise to build strategic relationships across C&I clients, data centers, EV infrastructure developers, and distributed storage customers.This is an ideal opportunity for a senior commercial, sales or revenue leader with a strong background in distributed energy sales, project origination, and customer contracting to make a direct impact in a progressive organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead sales strategy, pipeline development, and go-to-market implementation across distributed solar and storage markets.Drive origination efforts with key segments including commercial facilities, data centers, EV charging networks, and powered-land developers.Manage the full sales lifecycle—from customer engagement and contract negotiation (PPAs, leases, service agreements) through handoff to delivery teams.Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, legal, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution and commercial viability.Represent the company at key industry events to enhance visibility and strengthen market presence.Build, mentor, and scale a commercial team focused on results, accountability, and customer success.Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics, translating insights into actionable commercial strategies.Qualifications10+ years’ experience in renewable energy, distributed generation, or energy services.Proven success leading origination and closing high-value distributed energy deals.Deep understanding of customer contracting, project economics, and DG-scale development.Established relationships across C&I energy customers, developers, and financiers.Strong leadership and team development experience.Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.Why JoinThis is a unique opportunity to shape the commercial strategy of a nimble, fast-scaling clean energy company that’s redefining how distributed energy solutions are brought to market.
