The team advises on high-value, cross-border disputes across commercial, insolvency, and trust matters, working closely with international law firms, financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, and high-net-worth clients.The successful applicant will play a key role in managing complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes involving corporate structures, offshore trusts, and insolvency proceedings. This is a compelling opportunity for a motivated litigator to gain exceptional exposure and take on increasing responsibility within a high-performing team, while developing under a deep bench of market-leading senior lawyers.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing multi-jurisdictional disputes, often in coordination with leading onshore firms.Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and correspondence for proceedings before the Grand Court and Court of Appeal.Conduct detailed research on Cayman Islands and common law principles across commercial litigation, insolvency, and regulatory disputes.Prepare precise legal memoranda and contribute to case strategy development.Support senior lawyers in hearings, client meetings, and the preparation of hearing bundles.Contribute to internal training, knowledge management, and supervision of paralegals and trainees.Maintain strong client relationships, delivering timely, commercially focused advice.RequirementsQualified lawyer with 3–6 years’ post-qualification experience from a leading onshore or offshore law firm.Admitted in a qualifying commonwealth jurisdiction (E&W / AUS / NZ / CAN)Excellent legal drafting skills and a strong academic background (minimum 2:1 or equivalent).Proven experience in commercial litigation and/or insolvency-related disputes.Strong research, analytical, and organisational abilities.A collaborative mindset, professional maturity, and client-focused approach.Advocacy experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.The Cayman Islands offers a sophisticated legal market, high-quality international disputes work, and an enviable island lifestyle with no income tax.
