Commercial Manager - Commercial & Contract Management

With a focus on innovation and cutting-edge technology, Khazna specializes in hyperscale wholesale data centers that are at the forefront of enabling AI and other emerging technologies.We are looking for a Commercial Manager - Commercial & Contract Management to join our Engineering & Development team. This position will support the Senior Director - Commercial & Contract Management in the cost and commercial management across Khazna’s portfolio of construction projects, working with senior stakeholders and operationally assisting the delivery teams and managing external consultants providing cost and commercial management services.Some of the key responsibilities are as below, but not limited to:Necessary capability and experience to actively support internal delivery teams and provide cost and commercial management on complex engineering projects/programmes of work ranging between AED 100m and AED 2bn from inception to completion.Contract Management: Support the development of project-specific approaches, draft, review and manage commercial contracts for data centre construction projects, such as vendor agreements, procurement contracts, service agreements, and subcontracting agreements.Procurement: Implement robust procurement processes and procedures and ensure the preparation of supporting documentation for compliance and approval.Negotiation: Support negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to obtain favourable terms and conditions, ensuring optimal cost-effectiveness and risk allocation.Budget Preparation: Support the development, in conjunction with the other stakeholders, of robust development budgets, cash forecasts and analysis.Change Management: Evaluate and recommend contract changes, variations, and claims while ensuring appropriate documentation and compliance with change control processes.Risk Assessment and Management: Proactive identification and evaluation of potential risks associated with contractual terms and conditions and support the development of mitigation strategies for these risks.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, such as project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and legal counsel, to ensure alignment and coordination on contract-related matters.Dispute Resolution: Contribute to the development of strategies for dispute avoidance, provide support in resolving contract-related disputes, such as claims and potential litigation, in collaboration with SD-C&CM.Drive financial effectiveness and profitability of projects across the entire life cycle via the implementation of necessary contractual and commercial practices with a strong focus on improving delivery efficiencies.Minimum eligibility requirements and key competencies: Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent Relevant professional qualification or chartered status10+ years of relevant professional experience, including the delivery of data centres or other complex engineering projects across the entire project life cycle.In-depth technical knowledge of specialised field, including construction processes and cost and commercial managementDemonstration of self-management and prioritisation skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment to achieve team goalsCommercial acumen and the proven ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills requiredExperience in global projects and multi-cultural project teamsExperience with client-side delivery of both pre- and post-contract cost and commercial activitiesExperience in developing and leveraging strategic relationships across the supply chain MS Excel expertise
