Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Commercial Negotiator through October 26th, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.Responsible for securing and managing terminal, dock, and pipeline infrastructure that meets the strategic needs of Chevron’s Products Supply & Trading and Downstream businesses. The candidate will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, evaluating alternatives, developing negotiation strategies, and executing commercial agreements within the markets that Chevron operates. The position requires basic knowledge of Products infrastructure within Europe, Middle East, and Africa as well as extensive negotiation experience. The candidate must be able to apply this knowledge when reviewing requests from internal stakeholders to find the best opportunity for Chevron with respect to cost, quality and on time completion. The position is imbedded within Chevron’s Supply and Trading organization and will team regularly with stakeholders in Trading and Origination.Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:Assist internal customers with queries and problems with infrastructure commercial and strategic matters supporting fuels, feedstocks, refined products, base oils, and renewables businesses.Understand standard terms and conditions in service agreements and how they protect the company from risks and liabilitiesNegotiate terms and conditions and strategic pricing for infrastructure services with 3rd party providersProvide customer recommendations for infrastructure based on market analysisAssist internal customers with meeting objectives of cost, quality and schedule while maintaining positive working relationships with external stakeholdersEnsure all agreements comply with company policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulationsEnsure timely processing and execution of agreementsWork closely with internal customers to ensure policies, procedures and compliance requirements are met on all contractual obligationsEnsure executed contracts and all relevant compliance and correspondence are uploaded and maintained in the contract databaseRequired QualificationsBS in Business Administration or related fieldsMinimum 5 years of negotiation experienceMust be articulate, work well under pressure and consistently be able to meet deadlinesStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal communication skills for dealing with internal customers and external service providers.Ability to read and comprehend business contracts through work or educational experience.Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential.Must be a problem solver with the ability to find resolutions.Must be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities, and handle work interruptions.Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision and/or direction.Must be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude.Preferred QualificationsUnderstanding of product pipelines and terminals, both infrastructure and operations is a plusMBA preferred but not requiredRelocation Options:Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
