Commercial Operations Lead

MISSIONThe Commercial Operations Lead will oversee the Branded Jewelers Operations function, currently a team of one based in Geneva, working in close collaboration with colleagues in Thailand. The role reports directly to the Head of Commercial Operations.This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient end-to-end precious metals operations — from client onboarding and contracting through to final settlement — while delivering outstanding service to our counterparties.This position can be based either in Geneva or Ticino.Main Activities And ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop the team to deliver high-quality operational execution.Oversee client onboarding and account maintenance (KYC, tenders, contracts).Supervise daily commercial operations, including:Precious metals deliveries: ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.Monitoring and reconciliation of client trade accounts, market positions, and balances.Correct invoicing of goods and services.Issue resolution and escalation when necessary.Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration with relationship managers, production, logistics, treasury, trading, compliance, and back office.Formalize, implement, and improve processes/procedures across operations, including client onboarding.Identify operational needs regarding IT tools, support design/upgrades, and promote adoption.Required Education And ExperienceMaster’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of work experience, ideally in a commodities trading house or financial institution within Operations and/or Accounting-Finance.Previous work experience in precious and/or base metals is a plus.Project management experience and training is a plus.Qualifications And SkillsExcellent communication skills and high drive; Sense of responsibility and initiative;Ability to work autonomously;Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement and innovative thinking both in approach and in practical effect; Resistance to stress and time-pressure;Excellent interpersonal skills and customer orientation;Agile and flexible mindset, reactive to requests;Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;Ability to interact with colleagues of diverse cultures; respect for diversity;Full professional proficiency in the Windows environment is expected;Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English and French is required; knowledge of other languages is an asset.Swiss national, EU national, or holder of a valid Swiss work permit.
