Commercial Paralegal 📍 Location: Midsomer Norton🕒 Job Type: Full-time📅 Working Hours: Monday - Fridays, 09:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1 hour lunch)💷 Salary: Depending on ExperienceWe are seeking a professional and proactive Commercial Paralegal to support our busy Commercial Department. The ideal candidate will undertaking administrative and (QWE-compliant) active fee-earning work in a supportive, one-to-one role.This role is ideal for someone looking to qualify as a solicitor (or CILEx) in a busy Somerset firm. It will require excellent administrative skills, a passion for learning and self-development, and the drive to succeed in a demanding career.Candidates should be highly motivated and seeking opportunities for upskilling and progression within the firm, as our firm strategy seeks to prioritise internal progression. We are keen to hear from candidates with their career development plan as early as interview stage.Key Responsibilities: Document preparation and amendmentsDeveloping and applying legal understandingEngaging with live transactional legal matters at all stagesSupporting and learning from colleagues on their mattersOpening new client files and issuing correspondenceProviding quotes and archiving completed filesHandling telephone and in-person client interactionsScheduling appointments and assisting with general and legal queriesLiaising with the Accounts team for cheques and documentationCollaborating with colleagues across departmentsGeneral clerical duties including filing and photocopying when necessaryWhat We’re Looking For: Professional presentation and client-facing demeanourExcellent telephone manner and organisational skillsClear and effective communication abilitiesTeam player with a collaborative mindsetHigh attention to detail and accuracyProactive and enthusiastic approach to career developmentBenefits:Competitive salary25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysOpportunities for professional developmentSupportive and friendly team culture
