We are headquartered in London, UK, but are also present in several European countries as well as the United States where we service our partners, including eBay, Amazon, Just Eat, Shopify, and Stripe.The RoleAs a Commercial Strategy Associate, you'll sit at the intersection of data, partnerships, and strategy. You'll turn data into insight, insight into action, and action into commercial impact. You'll work closely with our Partnerships, Product, Risk, Capital Markets and Operations teams to drive partner performance, optimize pricing and propositions, and identify opportunities for YouLend to scale across new markets and segments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous problems with data, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to see their analysis directly impact growth.RequirementsResponsibilities:Analyse commercial and partner performance data to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, or margin improvementTranslate complex datasets into clear insights and recommendations for internal and external stakeholdersSupport the Partnerships team and senior management by providing analytical input to business reviews, RFPs, and commercial negotiationsCollaborate with Product, Risk, Capital Markets, and Operations to optimise partner propositions, pricing, and operational performanceDevelop and maintain commercial models and dashboards that inform pricing, forecasting, and performance trackingContribute to YouLend's expansion by researching new opportunities and supporting go-to-market analysesOwn smaller workstreams or mini-projects within larger commercial initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignmentPrepare and deliver concise presentations that communicate recommendations, results, and trade-offs to senior leadership and external partnersProactively identify data gaps, inefficiencies, or new analytical approaches to improve decision-making within the commercial teamThe ideal candidate will have the following skillset:Interest in fintech, lending, and commercial strategy2-4 years of experience in a data-driven, analytical, or commercial role (e.g. fintech, tech, consulting, banking, corporate strategy, or analytics)Strong analytical toolkit: comfortable using Excel, and ideally familiar with SQL and data visualisation tools (e.g. Metabase, Tableau), plus a keen willingness to learnExcellent communication skills: able to translate data into stories and confidently present insights to stakeholdersOwnership mentality and ability to thrive in ambiguity: bias to action and comfortable driving towards a solution with minimal guidanceCuriosity and problem-solving skills: desire to understand both the numbers and the "why" behind themFast learner: ability to quickly pick up new concepts and proactively look for training/learning opportunitiesProven ability to manage multiple work-streams: prioritising effectively and delivering under tight timelinesA team-first mindset: collaborative, positive, and willing to jump in wherever neededBenefitsWhy join YouLend?
