Job Description:Overview:Walt Disney Attractions Japan (WDAJ) focuses on bolstering Disney’s premium brand through active engagement with Oriental Land Company (OLC) in the licensing relationship for Tokyo Disney Resort (TDR).The Commercial Strategy Division supports OLC on strategy across several functional areas: Attractions and Entertainment (A&E) Menu, Marketing, Pricing & Yield management, New Experiences and Go to Market strategiesThe Commercial Strategy Manager role represents a well-rounded experience across experience, product and pricing growth strategies, a dynamic opportunity to deepen both functional expertise and influential capacity.Primary Responsibilities:Across functional areas (A&E Menu, New experiences, Pricing & Yield), participate in and exercise influence on strategic & planning processesLeverage other Disney Parks’s experiences, combined with local data (GSM, Target audiences insights) and key local strategic priorities, to build relevant recommendationsPartner with Walt Disney Imagineering to recommend the most appropriate A&E Menu recommendation (choice of IP, type of experience, level of investment) to strengthen Disney Brand’s and TDR leadership position in the Market in the long termPartner with Marketing Manager, Finance Manager and OLC counterparts to proactively draft go-to-market strategies recommendations that drive value for guests, OLC and DisneyBe an exemplary representative of WDAJ Commercial Strategy when interfacing with both internal and external entitiesQualifications:Strong analytic and synthetic skills – expertise in business scenario buildingStrong presentation skills (written presentations) – ability to elaborate compelling recommendationsAbility to build a recommendation based on storytelling, proven consumer insights and relevant data rationaleStrong business acumen, expertise in pricing and yield strategies highly appreciatedAbility to establish productive relationships (locally and with Disney Parks counterparts), adapt to change and work well on a teamIntellectual curiosity, consumer-focus, and capacity to quickly develop expertise on new topicsStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsExpertise in strategic consulting and/or pricing and/or related functions (5-10 years); experience across multi-national companies is preferredFamiliarity with Disney brand sensibilities is a plusFluency in English, with excellent written & verbal communication skills. Fluency in Japanese is preferred (written and verbal)High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially presentationsSome schedule flexibility to allow occasional early morning calls with the USMaster’s degree or equivalent in business/commerce related field, OR, Bachelor’s degree plus work experience at Disney Experiences
