The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:Gathers, measures, mixes, and prepares meal ingredients, sauces, and seasoning Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and meat etc. as applicable Knowledge of cutting and seasoning different meats as and marination Prepare basic dishes such as salads and sauces Ensure that the food items are stocked properly in refrigerators and freezers Follow established recipe and plating guide provided, to exact specification Set-up the station with par stocks of menu items and carry out all food preparation tasks given by the Commis 1 | Demi Chef | Chef De Partie designated for that station Effectively able to maintain high levels of kitchen assistance service at all times. Keep a track of the inventory suppliesContinually develops culinary knowledge to produce high-quality meals Adept at performing food rotation tasks, in order to ensure ingredient freshness Replenishes service lines, restocks, and prepares the workstation for the next shiftAbout YouThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:College Degree in Culinary Arts or similar from an accredited Culinary School.1-2 year of experience in a range of kitchen areas; ideally within the luxury hospitality industry Proven commercial kitchen experienceAbout The BenefitsWe offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams (AED), the local currency of the UAE.
