We aim to deliver safe and sustainable projects and services for our clients in different fields.This job offers an exciting and technically advanced approach to value added quality control on a wide range of EPCm projects.ResponsibilitiesWhat makes you remarkable?Work with engineers and vendors in the design phases to align handover and commissioning activitiesParticipate in workshops on design aspects that may assist in pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activitiesAttend P&ID hazard and model reviewsReview cause and effect diagrams and spare parts ordersDevelop and submit commissioning record (closeout) documentation throughout the project in line with documentation planPreparation of project documentation including pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures. Provides input to operational proceduresCreate and carry out test proceduresTroubleshooting, investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faultsSupervision of some site commissioning activities as appropriate including P&ID checking (system check/walk-down/punching), mechanical completion, pre commissioning, cold commissioning (dry/wet), hot commissioningAttends and participates in pre-start up safety review with client and construction contractor (and PMC and licensor as appropriate) Interface with Operations Team in commissioning, start-up and final turnover of the facility/plantRole model positive health, safety and environmental (HSE) behaviours on site QualificationsDiploma or degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or equivalent combination of qualifications and experienceAppropriate level of commissioning experience in relevant industry sector, typically a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience if degree qualified OR trade discipline qualified with a minimum 10 years relevant practical experience Good standard of general computer literacy Fully conversant with regards to discipline technical knowledge Proven experience of interpreting discipline documentation Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan Personal AttributesVery good organisational and communication skillsGood judgment and reasoning abilityAbility to think methodically and solve problemsGood time management and the ability to multi-task; able to maintain an overview of multiple elements of a project, while still handling day-to-day activities Ability to drive culture change when required Confident working under pressure, able to quickly adapt to deal with unexpected issuesUphold Wood’s values & behavioursAbout UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
