Job Description

We are looking for a Commodity buyer who will be responsible for Purchasing within the AUTO Business and Air Tech Business in the ebm-papst Group.What You’ll Do:Procurement of all purchased parts necessary for our operation, taking strategic aspects into accountDefinition, implementation and execution of the commodity strategy taking into account the company's internal objectivesPrice controlling, country-/part-specific market analyses with price comparisonPreparation and implementation of supplier visits and optimization of the global supplier portfolio taking into account total cost of ownership aspectsSupplier management including risk management of key suppliers.Negotiating and finalizing contractsAnalyzing international procurement marketsParticipating in supplier audits and supporting material disposition in production facilities during supply shortagesRisk management for dedicated suppliers.Manage cross-functional interfaces with related departments such as SCM, Quality Management and OperationsTravel activity as requiredWhat You’ll Bring:Professional experience in the industry-Completed technical or business studies or comparable training-Several years of professional experience in purchasing is an advantageSpecialist knowledge-Several years of professional experience in procurement in an industrial, technical environment-Very good negotiation skills as well as a high degree of independence and responsibility-Purchasing, Commodity knowledge of mechanical parts, production processes, logistics, price negotiations, project management, supplier workshops-Analytical thinking and a goal-oriented and independent way of workingFoundations and special knowledge-Business and technical knowledge-SAP knowledge – advanced-MS Office - advanced-English – business level-German – advantage
