Are you a social-savvy communications all rounder looking for a career-making opportunity?Keen to work with Olympic and national sports in the lead up to Brisbane 2032?Got experience in an agency or busy comms and marketing team; developing and executing campaigns and content that inform, engage and inspire?If you're an exceptional writer, creative thinker and project manager who thrives working across multiple brands or projects — this is the job for you.Here's an opportunity to work at the heart of high-profile sporting events, major brands, partnerships, digital content and media.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?join a tight-knit, collaborative and driven teamwork with incredible clients including major sporting codes and Olympic sportslearn and grow while working with exceptional leaders in sports contentenjoy a fun, flexible working environment including hybrid working (2 days WFH)work with exciting brands and events that push creative boundariesbe part of shaping the future of sports content creationdo impactful work — from showcasing elite competitions to community campaigns to get more people into sportpermanent full time role$80-90k + super, depending on experienceABOUT YOUYou’re a motivated and multi-skilled communicator with an excellent understanding of social media — and a love of sport.You’re a storyteller with top-notch written communication skills and demonstrated agility creating diverse content for different audiences and channels.You have experience juggling multiple clients or across multiple brands or projects simultaneously and thrive when you’re busy.You’re energetic, proactive, super-organised and have exceptional attention to detail.You’re naturally collaborative with experience working with clients or key stakeholders.You’re flexible, adaptable and comfortable working in the fast-paced and evolving digital and social media world.You bring around 4 years’ experience in communications, PR or social media.You have a strong understanding of social platforms, analytics and community engagement and experience using scheduling and reporting tools.Bonus points if you can bring experience pitching to media and/or knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.ABOUT THE ROLEYou’ll play a hands-on role across social, content and PR — helping shape campaigns, manage clients and create content that cuts through.You’ll be responsible for a range of activities including:creating and scheduling engaging content across social platformsmanaging community engagement — responding to comments, messages and interactionsdeveloping and maintaining social content calendars and campaign strategiesworking with event teams to plan and execute content around live eventstracking performance and preparing client reports and recommendationssupporting at live events (including some weekend work)developing and executing PR campaigns for major sporting events, campaigns and athlete profilingwriting media materials including press releases, media alerts and briefing notescoordinating interviews, photo calls and event media opportunitiesmedia pitching and building relationships with journalists.Sport happens on weekends which means this role includes some weekend work as part of a rotating roster for event coverage. You’ll be paid penalty rates for time worked on weekends, which will be 6-7 weekends across the year (often just 1 day). You’ll also get rostered days off during the week to ensure your work/life balance.INTERESTED?Great!
