Would you like to play an important role in building a communications strategy at a cross-portfolio level to drive business performance, enhance organisational culture and strengthen visibility of our clients commitment to patients?You will have a portfolio remit spanning the Core Lab Customer Area, helping to maximise collaboration, flexibility and impact by balancing Customer Area priorities in line with the clients and clients group communications strategy.start date: Nov/Dec 2025 end date: six-month-contract (with a chance onto extension)workload: 80-100% - max. 3 days homeoffice per weeklocation: Rotkreuz (CH) or Basel (CH)work model: Contractinginfo: travel activities within Switzerland (Basel - Rotkreuz)Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Strategy, you will develop and execute integrated communication strategies to inform, engage and inspire internal and external audiences in close collaboration with other members of the Communications team, the Customer Areas, affiliates and cross-functional colleagues. You must have exceptional communication skills engaging with external media, leaders, and employees, with a strong emphasis on external audiences, be a critical systems thinker and have the ability to foster relationships at all levels.Your Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute cross-portfolio planning and measurement, with a focus on creating and delivering integrated communications strategies that inspire, equip, engage and align key audiencesDevelop, enhance and communicate the clients communication strategies and solutions through leading external communications, public relations and internal employee communicationsCollaborate closely with the Head of Portfolio Strategy, Customer Area Communication Business Partners and the Leadership Team to ensure impactful, integrated and measurable communications in support of business prioritiesCo-create and deliver on Global Communication topics and projects as part of the Communications team - where applicable, manage external vendors to meet business objectives within defined scope, timeline and budgetary guidelinesDefine ways of working, resource allocation and outcome-based planning to build operational efficiency with the broader, Diagnostics and Group Communications’ communityRegularly evaluate, measure and report on the effectiveness of our communication activities using innovative tools (e.g. GenAI) to drive consistency and assure best practice communications, including development of digital/social capabilities based on Global Communications standardsEnsure all company compliance and ethics standards are met; guide and mentor project teams, supporting affiliate communicators and lead through influenceYour Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required in Communications, Journalism or Marketing with a proven track record in creating organisational success through integrated communication effortsAt least 2 years of related global/regional business experience as in-house corporate communicator, preferably within the Pharma, Diagnostics, Medical Device or Consumer Healthcare industry Experience leading, developing and executing communications strategies, initiatives and plans within complex, matrixed organisationsStrong executive presence with the ability to quickly assimilate business needs and circumstances and effectively advise others Self-motivated and able to thrive in a non-hierarchical, self-organising environment, where teams form around projects and initiativesDemonstrated ability to prioritise multiple projects and works well under pressure and tight deadlinesStrong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Highly effective at distilling complex and sometimes voluminous content into clear, concise and engaging communicationsHigh interpersonal skills, demonstrated excellence in relationship building, intercultural sensitivity and partnering at all levels Experience in digital transformation and change management strategies, activities, communications and execution is preferredFluency in English is requiredNice to have:German language skills
