Communications Officer

Your new company Our client is looking for an experienced Communications Officer to join their team on a 2-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension.Your new role Develops, edits, and publishes content across various internal and external communication channels, ensuring clarity and consistency.Maintains the integrity and alignment of materials with brand standards, working closely with senior staff and designers.Contributes to planning and execution of communication strategies, including events, campaigns, and digital initiatives.Coordinates and updates digital assets and platforms, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and relevant.Assists in tracking media coverage and distributing reports to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.Supports the development and implementation of communication policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.Works collaboratively within the team, upholding departmental values and ethics, and performing other duties as required.What you'll need to succeed Proven experience in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field, with a strong understanding of media and messaging.Demonstrated ability to craft and adapt written content for diverse audiences and purposes, ensuring clarity and impact.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards under pressure.Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and engage with stakeholders.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and familiarity with communication principles and practices within a structured environment.What you'll get in return Full-time hoursCompetitive hourly rateFlexible working arrangements.Close to public transport links
