TITLE: Community Facilitator (CPiE)TEAM/PROGRAMME: CPiE LOCATION: TKP , SittweNumber of Position: 3GRADE: NAT - 6 CONTRACT LENGTH: Fixed TermChild Safeguarding:Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the vetting process staff.ROLE PURPOSE: To facilitate effective and successful planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of gender responsive programme activities in assigned camps and rural/urban areas - in collaboration with the Project Assistants (CPiE). To conduct regular monitoring at assigned areas to alert for all protection cases, to support children and community members in accessing services and receiving proper cases and follow up service providers. To conduct training, meetings, awareness sessions, MHPSS activities in assigned camp areas, and supervise CFS animators. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.Scope Of Role:Reports to: Project Assistant (CPiE)Staff reporting to this post: No(delete where it’s not applicable)Budget Responsibilities: No Financial ApprovalRole Dimensions: Regular Contact of basic informationKey Areas Of Accountability: Work closely with community members in addressing protection cases through referral mechanisms and services provided while keeping into account community-based mechanisms. Train, coach and support community members in identification and monitoring activities for Child Protection work. Train, coach and support community members on existence of referral pathways and related service providers. Follow-up on regular cases Receive and verify information on Child Protection from the communities. Ensure community mobilization and coordinate with the stakeholders at the assigned areas. Assist supervisor in preparing and holding meetings & training as well as developing monthly work plan and budget estimation. Assign, monitor and evaluate the progress of the work with community members and Animators. Develop monthly and quarterly reports on trends in Child Protection Activities and follow-up. Assist supervisor in supporting the technical implementations of plans to facilitate CP related information and coordinate with other agencies when needed. Case forms data entry and send to line manager and database focal on weekly and monthly basis. Develop monthly and quarterly reports on trends of CP cases identified and followed up. Support supervisor and co-facilitate in capacity building training to CFS animators in project areas Support CFS animators in activities implementation and capacity development. Guide and support CFS animators in developing work plans and training plans To collect and verify the MHPSS data and send it to supervisor monthly. The ability to use a computer is preferable.Experience And SkillsEssential Desirable Demonstrated skills and experience in implementing child rights programming. At least 1 year in implementing and working with children. Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles. Ability to undertake case analysis, to document and submit case reports capturing key issues needed to inform programming for urgent response. High motivation to work with difficult circumstances. A commitment to children’s rights, children’s participation and non-discrimination. Experiences in establishing networking and coordinating and strengthening referral mechanism. Understanding of case management and referral pathways at a community, interagency and institutional level. Experience in community mobilization. Previous experience working for an NGO or other non-profit organization. Strong analytical skills and organization skills, ability to work independently and productively in a fast-paced environment and the ability to manage a multi-facetted workload. Solid communication skills and attention to detail. Flexible work attitude: the ability to work productively in a team environment & independently.Skills And Experience: At least 1 year experience in Child Protection in Emergency.Education: Secondary Education or equivalent experiences (Matriculation)Communication and Technical Skills Excellent personal organizational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Willingness to travel to field offices and work in a difficult environment according to travel requirementsGeneral: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization developing effective working relationships to deliver outstanding results for children Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles.
