With permanent part-time opportunities on offer across our northern suburbs, you can be the difference for people living with neurological conditions.Our Community Support Workers play a crucial role in delivering person-centered care and support in our client’s homes across the metro area. We know the difference a great client experience can make, and we want you to bring your skills and experience to improve the lives of our clients.Whilst in the client’s home, there will be key responsibilities that you’ll ace such as:Providing personal support and assistance with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation and simple household tasks (the small stuff makes a huge difference!)Medication administration and assistance.Supporting social access and participation such as taking clients to appointments and helping them pursue social/leisure activities.Supporting the unique needs of the client by following their individualised care plans and helping them achieve their defined goals.Maintaining accurate and detailed records to ensure open and clear communication with families and your team.This is a permanent part-time role (20 hours per fortnight) based around the northern suburbs.Our ‘must’ HavesA heart for helping and a passion for making a difference.Effective communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal.Ability to assist someone with their day-to-day activities.NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain – we can help there if required.)Current Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence with no restrictions.A reliable, roadworthy, licensed and fully insured vehicle.Availability to attend our paid compulsory 2-week orientation/ training program to help you get started at our training centre in Rivervale Monday-Friday 8am – 4.00pm.Our ‘nice to’ haves:A current Provide First Aid and CPR certificate – less than 12 months old (training can be provided.)A Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability or Aging.A little about us:We exist to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of Western Australians – whatever their needs, whatever their neuro condition.
