Completion And Workover Engineer

Work pattern: 14/14. Work location: WKO, Aksai (office). Contract duration: temporaryEducation and work experience:Higher education (University degree or higher) in in drilling or oil and gas areas and not less than 1 year of work experience as Completion and Workover Engineer.Main functions:Completion and workover design optimisation, cost and time estimation, ensuring compliance with approved programs, plans and procedures of ongoing Project / Design Completion and Workover activities in the field;Technical support and monitoring of all completion and workover works; drawing up activities schedules, requisitions, orders, charts, diagrams and other technical documentation;Technical support for tender preparation and evaluation, provide technical justification for contract management matters if any;Plan completion, workover and abandonment programmes for new and existing wells, feasibility study according to KPO policy and RoK regulations by using well cat (tubing stress analysis), torque and drag and hydraulics calculations etc;Prepare completion schematic for geotechnical program. Prepare time and cost estimation for completion and workover activities according to planning and feasibility study through interaction with the planning team;Prepare Authorisation for Expenditure (AFE) and cost estimation for completion and workover activities to be checked and confirmed by Senior Completion Engineer, before presentation to Well Engineering Manager for review and approval;Check the material / equipment availability for planned completion and workover activities and report any identified problems to Senior Completion Engineer:Liaise with relevant departments such as, but not limited to, Reservoir and Petroleum Engineering Department and General Projects Department, to make sure the receival of necessary data to conduct feasibility study. Present the progress on feasibility studies to Senior Completion Engineer;Get in touch with business partner in planning phase for any all technical clarifications required for the feasibility study;Call off equipment and material in due time to ensure the execution of activity will be in timely manner;Track contract value, provide technical justification and cost estimation to Administrative Contract Value (ACV) increase, perform technical evaluation;Provide technical support if needed during execution of completion and workover operations; Propose fishing and intervention tools, Bottom Hole Assemblies (BHA) for completion and workover operations, conduct feasibility study for well intervention proposals;As assigned by Well Engineering Manager, provide input to the support preparation of Technical specifications, Scope of Work and Technical Evaluations for tenders relevant to completion and workover service / equipment;Scout and keep updated about new technology available and applied in the industry, make proposal of potential implementation;As assigned by Well Engineering Manager, provide support for audits conducted by KPO Departments or RoK governmental agencies, providing feedback on technical evaluation or technical equipment related to completion activities;Prepare the decommissioning report and provide to Senior Completion Engineer;Perform other instructions of management / line manager / direct superior within its competence.Necessary knowledge and skills:Upper-intermediate (B2) English level is an advantage on this role ;Organizational / management documentation, standards and technical procedures relating to the operational and business activities within the discipline;Labour legislation basics;Risk management and HSE management;Solid understanding of cost-effectiveness and general commercial business issues;Equipment and its operational regulations;Prospects for the technical development of the company;Policy for Document Management.Knowledge of risk management, portfolio management and HSE management;Ability to work in multi-cultural environment in an operations team; Strong analytical approach to solve technical complex problems; Must be able to communicate efficiently with various operational units and with a variety of nationalities and educational levels;Good skills with PC in Windows environment. Ability to work with Landmark spreadsheet applications for stress analyses (StressCheck, WellCat). Ability to work with Prosper applications for tubing performance analyses. Ability to use software to perform wells diagrams and completion drawings.
