The Compliance Coordinator will support internal teams and University partners on state-specific requirements for offering online programs and courses to a national audience.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:Facilitating the state authorization process by preparing and submitting applications and other reports to U.S. state regulators Interfacing with 50+ U.S. state jurisdictions, University partners and internal stakeholders Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with state higher education personnel, University partners, and internal stakeholders Monitoring federal and state laws affecting the education industry and collaborating with the management team to report relevant updates to appropriate stakeholdersAssisting with the review, development and drafting of internal documents Managing, prioritizing, and completing multiple complex projects simultaneously in an efficient and timely manner Assisting with other compliance initiatives, projects and day to day administrative support Things That Should Be In Your Background:Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, prioritize and complete complex concurrent projects based on deadlines set by state authoritiesKnowledge of federal and state laws affecting the education industryKnowledge of web applications, Zoom, Adobe, Microsoft software, and Google WorkspaceOther Attributes That Will Help You In This Role:Bachelor’s degree strongly preferredA minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience in higher education, state authorization, and/or regulatory compliance is strongly preferredA minimum of 1–2 years of experience developing and sustaining collaborative relationships with multiple University administrative personnel and federal, state and local regulatory agency personnel is strongly preferredExperience interpreting or administering federal and state laws and regulations preferredHigh attention to detailDemonstrated problem solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent legal research and writing skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to communicate in a courteous, tactful, and concise mannerExcellent organization skillsFocused on achieving defined results, and exceeding goals and objectivesAbility to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated self initiativeWorking Conditions This is a 6-month contract role open only to candidates based in South Africa who are available to work the night shift (3 PM–11 PM SAST) to align with U.S. business hours (9 AM–5 PM EST).Benefits & CultureOur global employee base is a diverse collection of innovators, dreamers, and doers working together to transform lives through higher education.
