DescriptionElevate Compliance and Drive Regulatory Excellence in Australia's Dynamic Financial Services Landscape.Amazon is seeking a strategic financial services compliance professional to serve as a Compliance Manager within the Second Line of Defence (2LoD) of Amazon's Payments team, based in Sydney.The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience developing compliance frameworks across two key areas: Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) frameworks and policies aligned with AUSTRAC requirements, and regulatory compliance for payments and lending focused on ASIC and APRA standards. Define compliance requirements and determine appropriate compliance policies and controls to meet local AU regulatory obligations. Work with technology and operations teams as they build and scale AML/CTF and payments-related controls. Create a documented view of regulatory obligations in order to detect and respond to regulatory developments and issues that may pose compliance risk; educate senior leaders and guide local business teams in the development of risk-based controls. Prepare reports to senior management and senior business leaders with timely and actionable intelligence concerning regulatory regimes applicable to Amazon Australia.A day in the lifeYour day will be a dynamic blend of strategic analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and regulatory problem-solving.
