Key Responsibilities:Manage and mentor the Japan Compliance team; oversee daily operations.Develop and implement compliance programs and internal controls.Conduct compliance risk assessments and ensure regulatory readiness.Handle regulatory filings, inspections, and communications with Japanese authorities.Oversee AML/CFT, KYC, and trade surveillance activities.Advise business units on compliance for new products, services, and initiatives.Collaborate with regional/global compliance teams and support internal/external audits.Qualifications:Fluent Japanese speaker with fluent English.5–10+ years’ experience in Compliance within a Type I Financial Instruments firm.Strong understanding of Japanese financial, AML/CFT, and data protection regulations.Excellent analytical and communication skills; proficient in MS Word & Excel.
