Compliance Officer

Bruin are proud to be partnering with a well known financial services brand based in Manchester in their search for an experienced compliance officer to join their existing team.In this role, we are looking for someone used to working in an FCA regulated environment that will provide appropriate guidance on key compliance issues, supporting key risk mitigation activities, to help to deliver an effective Compliance & Risk function.Some of your duties will include:Assist on regulatory changes and the impact to the business; provide forward looking regulatory risk assessments related to changes to legislation and/or regulatory obligations and address the impact of such changes.Prepare reports & MI for Boards and committees as needed.Provide Compliance oversight and advice to the business, working collaboratively with the relevant division heads whilst developing and implementing the Compliance strategy; ensure all applicable regulatory obligations are complied with to prevent fines or penalties due to non-compliance. Assist to develop an appropriate, effective risk-based compliance programme, including a monitoring plan, with the necessary resources to deliver against this; ensure there is an effective Training & Competence scheme and assist with providing guidance and appropriate compliance training for staff.Assist with submission of accurate FCA Regulatory returns, Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR) requirements and all necessary regulatory reporting.In return for your exceptional skill, you will receive a competitive starting salary, bonus and enhanced benefits package.
