Job Description

Overview:We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer to join our growing organisation. This role will work collaboratively with the business by providing regulatory compliance advice and assurance to ensure the company operates in a compliant, legal and ethical manner. Supporting the Head of Compliance and front line teams in managing Customer treatment, Conduct and Reputational risks to the business. Supporting customers who complain about our products and services by investigating their concerns and providing comprehensive responses in line with our Consumer Duty, applicable regulation and company policy.Key responsibilities: Support customers who complain about our products and services by investigating their concerns and providing comprehensive responses in line with our Consumer Duty, applicable regulation and company policy.Engage with the FOS on referred complaints.Provide advice and guidance to first line teams on regulatory matters.Assist the Head of Compliance in carrying out periodic reviews of the company’s policies, procedures, and controls to ensure regulatory compliance and effective risk management.Work with the other members of the Compliance Team to ensure on-going thematic reviews, file audits and call reviews are delivered in accordance with the risk-based Compliance Monitoring Plan.Preparing compliance monitoring reports, for presentation to the Board.Collate and update compliance/conduct related management information. .Identify and investigate potential financial crimes such as fraud and money laundering. Analyse financial data to detect suspicious activities.Support the Head of Compliance with regulatory reporting.Assist in the delivery of colleague training in accordance with the company’s Training & Competence policy. Any other related duties or responsibilities assigned by the Head of Compliance.Key Skills: Compliance experience within financial services, preferably in secured lending/mortgages.Strong complaint handling and problem-solving skills.Able to work individually and collaboratively to achieve business objectives.Exceptional relationship building and communication skills and the ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the business.Strong planning and organisation skills.Strong team and work ethicAble to take initiative and willing to take on more responsibility to develop own skill set.
