Compliance Officer / MLRO Overview:Our client, a well-established capital markets brokerage firm in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced Co-MLRO to support the firm’s Financial Crime Compliance framework. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior management, regulators, and business teams to ensure robust governance and regulatory compliance across the organisation.Key Responsibilities:Act as Co-MLRO alongside the MLRO, supporting the oversight of AML, CTF, and Sanctions compliance.Maintain and enhance the financial crime risk framework, ensuring alignment with UAE regulatory requirements.Conduct risk assessments and periodic reviews of business lines, products, and client onboarding processes.Oversee KYC/EDD processes, transaction monitoring, and reporting suspicious activity to regulators where required.Support regulatory inspections and liaise with the ADGM/DFSA/CBUAE and other relevant authorities.Provide guidance and training to business teams on financial crime policies, controls, and best practices.Monitor emerging financial crime risks, including in digital assets and derivatives trading, and update policies accordingly.Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and controls to ensure efficiency and compliance.Candidate Profile:Strong experience in AML/CTF, compliance, or risk management within a capital markets environment.Prior experience as an MLRO, Co-MLRO, or senior compliance officer preferred.Knowledge of UAE financial regulations, DFSA/ADGM rules, and international standards (FATF, FCA, SEC) is essential.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of liaising with senior management, regulators, and operational teams.Professional qualifications such as ACAMS, ICA, or equivalent are highly desirable.Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.Why Join:Be part of a leading brokerage firm with a strategic presence in Abu Dhabi.Work in a dynamic environment at the intersection of capital markets, risk, and compliance.Opportunity to influence and strengthen the financial crime compliance framework at a senior level.
