Compliance Officer – Periodic Reviews

Job Description

For one of our clients, a well-established private bank based in Geneva, we are currently looking for a Compliance Officer – Periodic Reviews.Job purposeCarry out periodic reviews of clients in accordance with their risk classification, from a formal, material, reputational, and transactional perspective, ensuring that all KYC information registered in the Bank’s core system is accurate and up to date.Key responsibilitiesPerform periodic reviews of clients by analysing KYC information, conducting research via internal and external sources, and performing transactional analyses.Ensure proper AML risk classification of clients in line with the Bank’s AML and KYC policies.Identify and escalate AML or reputational “red flags” to senior Compliance Officers or the Head of Compliance.Contribute to enhancing the periodic review process, including workflow improvements and quality controls.Liaise with Relationship Managers and Front Office to obtain missing or updated documentation.Support the implementation of remediation plans and ensure timely completion of review tasks.Participate in internal projects related to KYC / AML and regulatory developments.Assist in preparing management reports and statistics related to periodic reviews.Education and professional experience5 years of experience in Compliance / Periodic Reviews within a private banking environment in Switzerland.Strong understanding of Swiss AML regulations (AMLA, CDB 20, FINMA Circulars).Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, or Finance; compliance-related certification (CAMS, DAS Compliance, etc.) is an asset.Excellent analytical and writing skills.Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken).Rigorous, detail-oriented, and organised.Proactive and able to manage multiple reviews under tight deadlines.Team player with strong communication skills.For further information about this opportunity, please contact Maeva Reis at +41 22 552 01 05 or via email at m.reis@lextonstanley.com.We welcome confidential inquiries and applications.Please note that only candidates meeting the qualifications for this position will be contacted.
