Job Description

We are currently looking for a Compliance Officer on behalf of our client, a private bank based in Geneva : About the role : Main ActivitiesSupport business units in ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable laws across various domains (regulatory, ethical, operational). Conduct periodic compliance reviews and internal controls, including areas such as client onboarding, transaction monitoring, and internal documentation. Follow up on compliance-related alerts or incidents and carry out investigations where appropriate. Perform ad-hoc compliance checks on topics such as AML, cross-border activities, data protection, or anti-bribery. Participate in compliance monitoring programs, thematic reviews, and risk assessments.

Draft, update, and enforce internal compliance policies and procedures. Stay informed on regulatory developments in Switzerland and internationally, and share insights internally. Provide guidance to staff on compliance matters, including good practices and regulatory expectations. Collaborate with departments such as Legal, Risk, HR, and Operations to ensure an integrated compliance approach. Assist in preparing internal and external compliance reports and support audits and regulatory inspections when required. Key Skills RequiredSolid understanding of Swiss financial regulations (e. g. , LBA/CDB, OBA-FINMA, cross-border considerations) and general compliance principles.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a compliance function within the banking or financial services sector. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High level of integrity, discretion, and professional ethics. Versatile and solution-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Fluency in French and English; other languages are an asset. Swiss residency is mandatory for this position.
