From its modern offices in central Copenhagen, HDI delivers industrial insurance solutions with a strong local presence and international outlook.ResponsibilitiesAs Compliance Officer / Specialist, you will join HDI’s newly established Compliance function and play a key role in ensuring that HDI Denmark continues to meet the highest standards within compliance and governance. The role offers both operational and strategic exposure, working closely with management in Denmark and Group Compliance in Hannover.Your key tasks will include:Managing daily compliance, governance, and risk-related activitiesConducting compliance monitoring, risk assessments, and enhanced due diligence (EDD)Supporting frameworks for sanctions, licensing, anti-bribery, and conflicts of interestReviewing internal policies, contracts, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., Solvency II, GDPR, insurance law)Acting as a liaison between the Danish branch and HDI’s headquarters in GermanyPreparing compliance reports, documentation, and training materials for managementSupporting awareness initiatives and embedding compliance practices across the organizationProfileYou are structured, proactive, and motivated by making compliance an integrated and value-adding part of the business. You enjoy working across departments and thrive in a collaborative yet professional environment.A relevant master’s degree (e.g., cand.merc.jur., cand.jur., or similar).Approximately 2–3 years of experience within compliance, risk, or legal – ideally from insurance, finance, corporate, or consultancy environments.Knowledge of frameworks such as Solvency II, AML/KYC, GDPR, and corporate governanceA self-starting attitude and ability to drive projects forwardStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsHigh attention to detail, structure, and integrityFluency in Danish and English (spoken and written)This role suits you, if you’re eager to grow and take ownership – someone who enjoys translating complex regulation into practical, business-oriented solutions.BenefitsAt HDI, you’ll be part of a collaborative, down-to-earth environment that values learning, flexibility, and personal development.
