Job Description

Job Title: IT Contract Manager Location: Toronto ON (Hybrid) Industry: Financial Services / InsuranceAbout the TeamJoin a high-performing Vendor Information Risk Management team, supporting the Contracts division in day-to-day operations. The role involves business-as-usual activities, particularly the review and management of IT-related contract language across various agreement types. Key ResponsibilitiesReview contracts to ensure inclusion of appropriate IT-related clauses (e. g. , cybersecurity, data privacy, regulatory compliance). Monitor and manage team inbox – reviewing incoming requests and assigning tasks accordingly. Analyze and interpret Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and amendments for IT compliance.

Support drafting, reviewing, and amending contractual documents as needed. Assist in organizing team workflows and contract tracking systems. Must-Have Qualifications8–10 years of experience as an IT Contract Specialist or similar role. Proven ability to read, write, interpret, and assess IT contract clauses in MSAs, SOWs, and other legal documents. Strong background in drafting/interpreting IT or corporate contracts—preferably in financial services or insurance sectors. Familiarity with procurement, vendor management, and third-party risk practices. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with contract negotiation.

Legal education or prior experience in a legal support function. Education & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Procurement, or a related discipline required. Additional certifications in contract management, procurement, or risk management are a plus. Ideal Candidate ProfileThe successful candidate is independent, proactive, and detail-oriented. They demonstrate a strong understanding of contract management practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage high volumes of work efficiently. Experience working in a regulated industry such as finance or insurance will be highly beneficial.
