Job Title: Computational Artist / Generative Designer (1 Position)---About the JobWe are seeking a creative and technically fluent Computational Artist / Generative Designer to join our creative lab. In this role you will conceive, prototype, and produce generative artworks and interactive experiences that blend code, AI, and visual design. You will work closely with product, engineering, and curation teams to turn experimental ideas into polished installations, digital drops, and interactive pieces for web, XR, and gallery contexts. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable writing elegant code and curating compelling visual narratives.---ResponsibilitiesConcept & Prototype: Develop original generative art concepts and rapidly prototype them using code, creative AI models, or algorithmic methods.Artwork Production: Produce finished assets and interactive pieces for web, NFT drops, exhibitions, and immersive platforms (WebGL, WebXR, Unity, Unreal).Tooling & Pipelines: Build and maintain reproducible generation pipelines, datasets, and tooling (Python, p5.js, Processing, Three.js, Blender scripting, or relevant frameworks).Modeling & ML Integration: Fine-tune or adapt generative models (GANs, diffusion models, transformers) and integrate them into creative workflows when appropriate.Interactivity & UX: Design interaction patterns, input mappings, and responsive behaviors for audiences across desktop, mobile, and XR devices.Collaboration: Work closely with designers, engineers, curators, and producers to align creative vision with technical constraints and production timelines.Optimization & Deployment: Optimize assets and code for performance, cross-platform compatibility, and smooth delivery in gallery, web, or metaverse environments.Documentation & Packaging: Prepare clear project documentation, source-artifacts, release packages, and deployment instructions.Community & Presentation: Present work in public demos, artist talks, or gallery contexts; engage with communities on platforms like Discord and Twitter/X.Ethics & Rights Management: Ensure attribution, licensing, and data provenance are handled ethically and transparently; address copyright and dataset consent issues.---QualificationsExperience: 2+ years creating generative or computational art, interactive installations, or related creative-technical work; strong portfolio required.Technical Skills: Proficiency in creative coding (Processing/p5.js, Three.js, WebGL), Python scripting, or equivalent; familiar with 3D tools (Blender/Maya) and asset pipelines.Generative Methods: Hands-on experience with generative techniques (procedural algorithms, shaders, GANs/diffusion, or algorithmic composition).Interactive Systems: Experience designing interactive systems, UX for spatial or screen-based works, and handling input devices / sensors (optional: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, OSC).Multimedia Production: Comfortable producing visual, audio, and motion assets; knowledge of video editing and audio tools is a plus.Optimization: Ability to optimize visuals and code for performance across platforms (web, mobile, VR/AR).Creative Judgment: Strong aesthetic sense and ability to craft cohesive visual narratives from algorithmic sources.Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication; experience working in cross-disciplinary teams.Portfolio: A compelling portfolio or demo reel showing generative work, interactive projects, or exhibitions is required.Mindset: Curious, experimental, and pragmatic — able to balance exploration with deliverable-focused production.---If you’re excited to push the boundaries of art and computation and to ship work that delights audiences across digital and physical spaces, please apply with your CV, a link to your portfolio or demo reel, and a short note describing a recent generative project you led.
