This position will be assigned to various school locations within Parkland School Division. Final school assignments will be determined by the Director of Technology Services.Our Division uses a variety of technologies that require a flexible, innovative, and collaborative team-based approach to ensure excellent end-user experiences. As a technology professional, you are a creative problem solver with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, enjoying opportunities to work independently and in teams. You are highly motivated, with a strong technical background, broad knowledge base, and skill set in technology, with proficiency in a range of contemporary mobile, peripheral, and workstation technologies. You are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and have a client service orientation.Function and Purpose of PositionProvide technical on-site support and services at designated Division locations.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and user-related issues.Create, maintain, and file detailed documentation for procedures, processes, and issue resolutions.Support Division projects and assist Systems Support Administrators (Network, Server/DB, Enterprise/Cloud) as needed.Deploy and configure new computers for staff and school sites.Manage, support, and perform preventative maintenance on computers, tablets, and Chromebooks.Deploy software applications to end-user devices.Troubleshoot and support SMART Boards, sound field systems, and video conferencing systems.Provide support for peripheral devices such as printers, projectors, and document cameras.Diagnose and resolve common software-related issues.Perform computer repair, setup, and decommissioning tasks.Configure staff cell phones for Division use.Review recurring site-level issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with the IT team to implement solutions.Advise school staff and administrators on technical best practices and recommendations.Education And Experience Education: CompTIA A+ Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator AssociateCompTIA Network+CompTIA Security+ITIL 4 FoundationGoogle IT Support Professional CertificateValid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s Licence Relevant College/Technical Institute Education or Equivalent Experience Experience: Chromebook management, Google Apps for Education experience considered an assetEquivalencies will be considered.Knowledge, Skills, And Attributes Good oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. The ability to take direction and work independently. Flexibility, patience, sensitivity, tolerance, enthusiasm, creativity, and imagination.
